Half a Year, and Wholly Delighted

A Review of Our Accomplishments So Far This Year

As we reach the midpoint of 2024, we can’t help but look back and celebrate the remarkable successes and accomplishments that T2 has achieved so far this year. From growing with our customer community and learning from parking professionals across the nation, to launching new state-of-the-art technologies that set us apart in the industry, we’ve made some notable strides as a company.

A Toast to 30 Years

We reached an amazing milestone in April, marking 30 years of service to the parking industry. Our anniversary was celebrated with a toast from our CEO Adam Blake, followed by parties we held at our Indianapolis and Canadian offices.

We also celebrated the support of our customers and the contributions employees have made over the past 30 years. Adam thanked customers and employees through a heartfelt video message, and we asked longtime T2’ers to share thoughts about this momentous occasion.

Mixing with the Parking Industry’s Best

If you know us, you know how much we love catching up with customers and making new friends along the way. We had a great time hosting and attending a total of 18 events so far this year, building community, learning from each other, and creating memories.

From T2-held events such as our regional ReConnects, product trainings, and Executive Forum, to the many tradeshows we attended, we’re grateful to have had these opportunities and look forward to more planned in the latter half of the year.

In the coming months, you’ll find us at NPA’s 2024 Convention and Expo as a proud sponsor of the Women in Parking (WIP) Accelerate Monday program, then we’ll be on to our most anticipated event of the year – T2 Connect 2024, to be held November 18-21 in Denver, Colorado. Keep an eye out for your invitation and more details soon!

If you’re unable to attend either, we’ll also be at the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), Canadian Parking Association (CPA) and California Mobility and Parking Association (CMPA) conferences and trade shows, as well as many other regional and state conferences.

Prestigious Praises & Appointed Positions

We’re proud and honored that the year has brought us more industry recognition that allows us to continue to fill our proverbial trophy case. At this year’s IPMI conference in Columbus, Ohio, we were awarded 1st Place Best in Show and People’s Choice for our booth experience – for the second year in a row! “What a great honor it was, to be recognized for showcasing not only our great technologies, but what we strive to provide our customers on a daily basis – and that’s exceptional experiences,” said Jen Luczak, T2 Marketing & Events Manager.

We were also beaming with pride at the IPMI conference when three of our coworkers – and many of our customers – were recognized for earning their CAPP certifications this year. Congratulations to Jeri Baker, CAPP, Zac Boyd, CAPP, CPP, and Katie Campbell, CAPP, and our customers for their dedication to professional growth and the parking industry!

An additional congratulations goes out to T2 Account Manager Zac Boyd, CAPP, CPP, for his appointment to The Midsouth Transportation and Parking Association’s Board of Directors this year. We know very well how much value he brings to MSTPA.

Moving the Parking Industry Forward

What an innovative year it’s been so far! Our team is continually committed to delivering powerful parking solutions for universities, municipalities, and private operators, and have many great advancements to show, today. Most recently, we evolved our all-in-one T2 UNIFI® platform that offers customers seamless, hassle-free management of their operations while allowing them to take parker experiences to the next level.

In February, we successfully launched Scan and Pay, a quick mobile citation payment solution that operations can offer their parkers to enhance experiences. Our customers are enjoying the benefits of less in-office foot traffic (10-20% less on average), quick payment, and improved efficiency, while their customers enjoy the convenience. To date, nearly 7,500 citations have been paid through Scan and Pay.

T2 Tempo™ was introduced to the industry in April. It’s our easy-to-use, one-of-a-kind online platform that allows patrons to purchase parking for specific days and times – either on a one-time, concurrent, or non-concurrent basis. Since launch, facilities have been maximizing space utilization and turnover in their lots, only by breezing through the configuration of rates, limits, and schedules on the backend. T2 Tempo™ has taken off smoothly, yielding almost 1,700 transactions so far.

For our customers using UNIFI® mobile, we were excited to develop and offer a ready-to-go campaign toolkit to help promote the availability and use of each of the applications to parkers. Complete with design templates for signage, social media, email, websites, and instructional video, our offering has been a boon for short-staffed operations with or without a marketing team.

We also launched our next-generation pay station software – PS8 – and most recently enabled our Luke® hardware to accept Interac Debit, which accounts for 1/3 of transactions in Canada. It was no small feat to deliver these powerful solutions and we’re so proud of the team that dedicated themselves to the pay station projects.

There were several functionality enhancements to our UPsafety® Permits and Enforcement Solution these past 6 months, but one in particular has become a customer favorite. In June, our backend platform was expanded to include payment plan management directly within the system. This option allows departments to accept online partial payments, which strengthens patron convenience and experience, improves collection rates, and reduces error in record-keeping.

“[Our] parking division has always taken an approach of working with citizens rather than penalizing them…over not paying a parking ticket. UPsafety’s payment plan feature is a wonderful way to offer convenience and improve our collection rates.”

Included with our wins, our Citation Services team reported astonishing figures in early 2024, when looking back at 2023:

  • 260K+ Citations Processed
  • $5.2 million returned to T2 Customers
  • A 45% T2 Collection Rate versus a 22% Industry Standard Collection Rate

These innovations and services just highlight the many successes we saw this year. We’re currently working towards wowing customers and professionals even more with other releases planned by end of year. For now, we’ll just say you can expect to move your operation forward with T2 Flex®.

Making an Impact

At T2, we wholeheartedly believe in social responsibility, as well as the strength that diversity and inclusion bring to our teams.

So far this year, we’ve given back to communities where we live, work, and serve through team and employee donations, and volunteering for:

We also made great strides in creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. Our 7-member DEI Committee continues to foster initiatives that educate, inform, and inspire employees across the company. Since January, the committee launched a newsletter that highlights many cultural celebrations and held a regular book and movie discussion with questions around actionable ways to make change.

Some of the initiatives planned for the rest of the year include:

  • Increasing and exploring new ways to engage in charitable acts.
  • Participating in recruitment fairs at diverse colleges/universities/clubs.
  • Planning to engage with schools in disinvested communities to help build skills for interviewing and writing college/job applications.
  • Becoming more involved in parking organization DEI opportunities such as Women in Parking and Women in Leadership.

As we reflect on these achievements at this mid-year mark, it’s clear that our dedication, innovative spirit, and commitment to excellence have paved the way for remarkable progress for our customers. We are excited to build on this momentum and continue delivering exceptional results in the coming months, together. Thank you for being a part of the T2 journey.
