Move More Cars Through Every Lane with T2 PARCS

Durable lane hardware, plate-based access, and payment at the lane — configured for full revenue control or permit-only access.

Why Operators Choose T2 PARCS

One Vendor, One Number to Call

Lane hardware, software, and support come from T2 — so when a lane goes down, one partner owns the fix instead of three pointing at each other.

No Lost Ticket Disputes

Fixed LPR reads the plate on approach, so fees are calculated from actual entry time and permit holders move through without stopping — no charges waived at the gate to keep traffic moving.

No Pavement Cuts Required

Radar detection sees vehicles, pedestrians, and motorcycles without saw-cutting concrete — and traditional in-ground loops are still fully supported.

Payments Built for Compliance

T2 SecurePay with the ID TECH VP6825 encrypts card data at the reader, with tap, chip, and mobile wallets at the lane — all reporting into the same platform as your permits and enforcement.

Access-Only or Full Revenue Control

Run permit-only lots with gated access and no payment, or add transient payment, validations, and revenue reporting on the same platform.

How T2 PARCS Gets Configured

A parking operation is never just one thing. The staff lot needs to know who’s authorized. The visitor garage needs to charge everyone who isn’t. The event deck needs both, twice a semester.

So T2 PARCS starts with one question per lane: does it collect money, or just control access? Access-only lanes need no payment device. Revenue lanes add a second choice: where the parker pays. At the exit, at a walk-up station in the lobby, or on their own phone before they ever reach the car.

One platform, one permit database, one set of reports behind it all.

T2 Access Control: Gated Entry Without Payment

Gated access for lots where everyone parking is already authorized. The credential is the whole transaction — no payment device in the lane, fewer components to maintain, and a complete audit log of every entry and exit.

Payment at the lane: None

Credentials: Registered license plate, campus ID or mobile credential, RFID and long-range tags

Best for: Employee and staff lots, faculty and resident lots, physician and staff decks, airport employee parking, tenant and office-park lots, fleet and motor pool yards, contractor and vendor yards, athletics and event staff lots, park-and-ride permit lots, and restricted access points

Beyond the gate: Overhead doors, pedestrian entrances, and other secured access points on the same parking credential

T2 Logan Pay-on-Foot Stations

Walk-up payment placed where parkers actually are before they reach their car — elevator lobbies, stairwells, and pedestrian entrances. Every transaction here happens without a line at the exit gate.

Placement: Pedestrian entry points, elevator lobbies, garage stairwells

Shared hardware: Uses the same base components as T2 PARCS Logan lane devices, so one spare part and one service procedure cover both — lower parts inventory, less staff training, and faster repairs

Payment: Credit-card-only or cash/coin configurations available

Validations: QR code supported

Best for: Garages with concentrated exit peaks — class change, shift change, event egress

T2 Logan: The All-in-One Lane Solution

One column at the lane, one station in the lobby. Logan lane hardware and pay-on-foot stations share the same base components, so spare parts cover both and your team learns one device.

Configuration: Entry, exit, or reversible lane

At entry: Credential read, plate capture, QR ticket issue, or credit card In / Out

At exit: Credential read, plate match, ticket validation, and payment via credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay

Ticketing: Non-ingest QR tickets — nothing gets pulled into the machine, so nothing jams

Paperless Entry / Exit: Credit card In / Out or prepaid reservations

Built for: High-cycle duty, field-serviceable components, full offline operation

T2 PARCS Pay-on-Phone (PoP)

App-free mobile payment. Parkers scan the QR code on their ticket with any iOS or Android device, pay in the browser, and get a digital receipt — then scan at the exit and go. T2 PARCS PoP does everything a traditional kiosk does, including validations, without the kiosk.

Payment: Google Pay, PayPal, or Credit card

Parker requirements: No app, no account

Receipts: Delivered instantly as PDF or JPEG

Branding: 100% white label — your brand, your customer, and you retain ownership of payment data and reporting

T2 FlexVal Mobile: Browser-Based Parking Validation (No App Required)

Validations are their own kind of transaction. T2 FlexVal Mobile lets merchants, clinics, and event staff apply a discount to a parker’s credential from any browser — no dedicated hardware, no app, and nothing to install on their end. The restaurant validates from the host stand. The clinic front desk validates at checkout. Programs and merchant access stay centrally managed in T2 Flex, so the parking department controls what gets discounted and by how much.

Access: Browser-based progressive web application accessible from virtually any internet-connected device

Merchant requirements: No dedicated hardware or locally installed software

Validations: Apply parking discounts by amount, percentage, or time directly to the parker’s credential

Mobility: Smartphones, tablets, or desktop devices — ideal for restaurants, retailers, hotels, offices, and event locations

Management: Validation programs and merchant access are centrally managed through T2 Flex

Run More Lanes Without Adding More People

Most parking teams aren’t short on technology — they’re short on hours. The cost of a gated operation shows up in staff walking out to stuck lanes, cashiers stationed at exits that only get busy twice a day, revenue written off to clear a backup, and reports that have to be reconciled across two systems before anyone can answer a simple question.

Fewer failure points in the transaction — non-ingest QR ticketing means no ticket to jam, demagnetize, or lose

Remote cashiering — one staff member covers multiple exit lanes across multiple facilities from a single workstation, instead of one booth per lane

Remote configuration — change rates, validations, and lane settings without a site visit

Radar detection — no in-ground loops to fail after freeze-thaw or a repaving project

Offline operation — a network outage doesn’t close the garage

One record per parker — access, permit, payment, and citation activity in the same place

Lancaster Parking Authority consolidated four PARCS vendors across seven garages onto one system, with fixed LPR handling touchless entry and exit — one vendor, one account manager, one set of reports for off-street parking.

Let the Plate Do the Work

The plate is already on the car. Everything else is something the driver can lose.

T2 Fixed LPR uses the vehicle’s license plate as a credential, creating a faster, frictionless entry and exit experience. Permit holders can be recognized automatically, while transient parkers who have prepaid, paid by phone, or been fully validated can approach the exit and go. Combined with mobile payment and validation, LPR helps reduce reliance on tickets and payment hardware while creating a more seamless parking experience.

If a driver loses a ticket, plate-based access means nothing was actually lost. The system calculates the fee from the plate’s real entry time and displays it at exit — no lost ticket fee, no negotiation at the gate, and no revenue written off to clear the lane.

In access-only lots, the same technology does the whole job: the plate is the credential, so there’s no tag to issue, no card to replace, and no reader to mount.

T2 integrates with both Genetec and Carrida LPR platforms, including Genetec Free Flow, so operations already running Genetec infrastructure can connect T2 PARCS devices to what they have instead of replacing it.

Skip the Saw. Radar Detection Without Cutting the Pavement.

Induction loops have been the default for vehicle detection for decades, and they carry a permanent cost: cutting the pavement to install them, patching it afterward, and cutting again every time the lot is resurfaced, the concrete shifts, or a freeze-thaw cycle breaks the wire. Once a loop is in the ground, the detection zone is fixed — reconfiguring means starting over with a saw.

The radar scanner mounts on the barrier itself. It detects moving and stationary vehicles and pedestrians inside defined virtual zones, differentiates a vehicle from a single pedestrian for safer barrier control, and is configured through a mobile app over Bluetooth—so you can adjust the detection zone in minutes instead of rebuilding it in concrete.

No pavement cuts. Surface-mounted, with minimal install time and labor.

Zones you can change. Set opening and safety areas in the app, adjust them later, save and reuse configurations across lanes.

Pedestrian-aware safety. Enhanced detection for pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles.

Built for weather. Radar isn’t affected by fog or rain the way optical systems are, and it comes in an IP65-rated, tamper-resistant housing rated from -30°C to 55°C.

Diagnostics in your pocket. Five-color LED status indicators at the gate, plus live-view detection, Service Mode testing, and firmware updates from the app.

Where it fits: gated parking facilities, university parking access, commercial garages, residential communities, and restricted vehicle access points.

Built for Lanes That Run All Day

T2 Logan lane hardware is engineered for operations running thousands of gate cycles a day in weather that doesn’t cooperate. Heavy-gauge aluminum and steel housings, field-serviceable components, and full offline functionality keep lanes working when conditions or connectivity turn. Most garages replace or upgrade access equipment every 8 to 12 years — Logan’s modular design is built so that cycle doesn’t mean starting over.

Multi-Technology Credential Readers

Columns use Elatec readers that handle proximity cards, smart cards, and mobile credentials from the same device. When your campus changes credential technology — and it will — you reconfigure the reader instead of replacing hardware in every lane.

High-Cycle Gates

T2 PARCS supports Elka and Magnetic MicroDrive barrier gates, both rated for high-cycle duty. A gate failure is the most public way a parking operation fails, which is why the gate spec is where the durability conversation actually starts.

Non-Ingest QR Ticketing

Tickets are read, not swallowed. Nothing gets pulled into the machine, so there’s no transport mechanism to jam and no ticket to demagnetize.

Offline Operation

If connectivity drops, lanes keep running. Transactions process and store locally, then reconcile when the connection returns.

Pay-on-Foot Stations

Pay-on-foot stations use the same base hardware as the lane columns, so spares, service procedures, and staff training carry across both. Place them at pedestrian entry points, elevator lobbies, and stairwells to move payment entirely off the exit lane. Credit-card-only and cash/coin configurations are available, and QR code validations are supported.

Payments That Clear the Lane and Keep You Compliant

Payment is where throughput and liability meet. A slow transaction backs up the exit; a non-compliant one shifts exposure to the operator. T2 SecurePay handles both.

T2 SecurePay with ID TECH VP6825

The ID TECH VP6825 is a PCI P2PE validated payment solution built for unattended parking environments. Card data is encrypted the moment it’s read and stays unreadable everywhere after, narrowing PCI scope for your operation — not just for T2. It processes chip, magstripe, contactless tap, mobile wallets, and QR codes, and keeps processing when the connection drops. Transactions reconcile automatically through a direct API to ID TECH.

Processor Flexibility

T2 PARCS supports a range of payment processors, including Chase, Elavon, Fiserv, Global, and Worldpay, so operations can keep an existing banking relationship rather than switching to a vendor-mandated processor.

Tap and Go

Drivers tap a contactless card or a phone and go. Lancaster Parking Authority processes 30,000+ transactions a month through ID TECH readers across seven garages, with Apple Pay, Google Pay, tap, and chip accepted at the lane.

Card or Phone In, Same Card or Phone Out

Transient parkers present a payment card or mobile wallet at entry and the same one at exit. The fee is calculated and charged automatically — no ticket, no kiosk stop, no receipt to lose.

T2 Merchant Services

Payment processing and parking technology from one vendor, with a single point of accountability when a transaction question comes up.

More than 2.5 million transactions processed through ID TECH readers in under a year (as of August 31, 2026). T2 processes $4B+ in customer revenue annually.

“With ID TECH and T2 Logan PARCS systems, our customers appreciate the ease of paying via multiple payment options, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit card via Tap or Chip Insert.” — M. Ibrahim Aman, Deputy Executive Director, Lancaster Parking Authority

One Platform Behind Every Lane You Manage

The gate is what the parker sees. Behind it is T2’s complete parking solution — access, payments, permits, enforcement, LPR, pay stations, mobile commerce, and reporting — so a question about a single parker has one answer instead of two reports from two databases.

T2 PARCS also integrates with the credential systems your operation already runs, including Transact Campus and CBORD mobile credentials, so parking doesn’t end up managing a separate card program.

Already running T2? PARCS capability is built into every T2 Flex instance. Turning it on means configuration and a lane hardware install — no additional servers, no separate software, and no data migration.

PARCS: Frequently Asked Questions

What is a parking access and revenue control system (PARCS)?
A parking access and revenue control system manages vehicle access, parking activity, and payment within gated parking facilities. While traditional PARCS relied heavily on paper tickets, payment kiosks, and staffed booths, modern solutions are shifting toward a more digital, hardware-light experience. License plate recognition (LPR) can identify vehicles and manage entry and exit without a physical credential. At the same time, mobile payment and validation options let parkers pay, and businesses validate parking from their own devices. The result is a more convenient parking experience with fewer devices to purchase, maintain, and service.
What is the difference between a PARCS and a parking access control system?
An access control system manages entry and exit only—the parker presents a valid credential and no payment happens at the lane —making it the standard fit for employee, staff, tenant, and permit-only lots. A PARCS adds revenue collection on top: transient parkers, fee calculation, payment at the lane or on a phone, validations, and revenue reporting. T2 builds both on the same lane hardware and the same platform, so an access-only lot can add revenue control later without replacing the infrastructure.
Which one do I need for an employee or staff lot?
Access control only, in most cases. If everyone parking is already authorized through a permit, a campus ID, a mobile credential, or a registered plate, there’s no transient payment to collect — so the credential is the whole transaction and the lane needs fewer devices.
Can one operation run both?
Yes. A single operation can run paid visitor garages and permit-only staff lots side by side, under one permit database and one set of reports.
Why choose T2 PARCS over other access and revenue control providers?
T2 PARCS brings lane hardware, payments, and software together as a unified solution — giving you a single partner accountable for system performance and support. Purpose-built for demanding parking environments, our lane equipment is designed for high-cycle operation, field serviceability, and continued operation during connectivity interruptions. Because PARCS connects with the broader T2 platform, access and revenue control work alongside permits, enforcement, validations, and reporting—creating a more connected parking operation from one trusted technology partner.
How does T2 PARCS handle lost tickets?
T2 PARCS with Fixed LPR eliminates the lost ticket scenario. The license plate serves as the ticket, so the system calculates the fee from the plate’s actual entry time and displays it at exit — no lost ticket fee and no dispute at the gate.
Can radar replace in-ground loops for vehicle detection?
Yes. The radar scanner mounts on the barrier and detects moving and stationary vehicles and pedestrians in configurable virtual zones, with no pavement cutting at installation and nothing in the ground to fail after resurfacing or freeze-thaw. You set and adjust detection zones through a mobile app rather than rebuilding them in concrete.
Does radar detect pedestrians and bicycles?
Yes. The scanner differentiates between vehicles and single pedestrians for safer barrier control, with enhanced detection for pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles.
Does T2 PARCS integrate with Genetec?
Yes, including Genetec Free Flow, so operations with existing Genetec infrastructure can connect T2 PARCS devices rather than replacing what they have. T2 also integrates with Carrida.
What gates does T2 PARCS use?
Elka and Magnetic MicroDrive barrier gates, both rated for high-cycle operation in facilities running thousands of lifts per day.
What payment methods does T2 PARCS accept?
Contactless and chip cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay at the lane, and mobile payment through T2 PARCS Pay-on-Phone, which also supports PayPal. Payments run through T2 SecurePay using PCI-validated point-to-point encryption with the ID TECH VP6825.
Which payment processors does T2 PARCS support?
T2 PARCS supports a range of processors, including Chase, Elavon, Fiserv, Global, and Worldpay, so operations can keep an existing banking relationship rather than switching to a vendor-mandated processor.
Does PARCS PoP require parkers to download an app?
No. Parkers scan the QR code on their ticket with any iOS or Android device, apply a QR code validation if they have one, pay in the browser, and get a digital receipt. This gives the parker full self-service capabilities and reduces congestion at the exit. T2 PARCS PoP is white-labeled to your operation, and you retain ownership of the payment data and reporting.
Can I control overdoors and alternative facility access?
Yes. T2 PARCS can extend access control beyond traditional parking gates to overhead garage doors, pedestrian entrances, maintenance areas, and other secured access points using the same parking credentials. Access can be scheduled to enhance after-hours security while still providing convenient entry for authorized parkers, staff, and service personnel. This provides an additional layer of security for urban garages, restricted areas, and facilities with overnight access requirements.
What radar sensor does T2 PARCS use?
T2 PARCS uses a barrier-mounted millimeter-wave radar scanner that creates configurable virtual detection zones for opening and safety control. Because the sensor is surface-mounted rather than embedded in the pavement, you can specify it to suit the lane without changing the lane’s civil work. Contact our team for current model and specification details.
Do T2 PARCS lanes keep working if the network goes down?
Yes. The hardware operates offline, processing and storing transactions locally and reconciling when connectivity returns.
Can T2 PARCS integrate with my campus credential system?
Yes. T2 PARCS supports Transact Campus and CBORD mobile credentials, so students and staff use the credential they already carry.
Can I add PARCS to a parking operation I already run with T2?
Yes. PARCS capability is built into every T2 Flex instance. Activating it requires configuration and a lane hardware install — no additional servers, no separate software, and no data migration.
