T2 Luke® Cosmo

The multi-space parking meter built for narrow sidewalks and dense streetscapes.

Full-Featured Parking, Built for Smaller Spaces

Not every curb has room for a full-size pay station. Historic blocks, narrow sidewalks, and pedestrian-heavy streetscapes all have to stay walkable — and ADA clearance isn’t negotiable.

T2 Luke® Cosmo is a multi-space parking pay station built for those spaces. A slim, solar-powered cabinet takes up less of the sidewalk while delivering the same core platform, security, 7-inch display, and tactile keypad as its bigger, bill-accepting cousin, the Luke II. Configure it for cards and mobile wallets only, or add coin acceptance when your operation still needs it.

Why Operators Choose Luke® Cosmo

Parking technology should fit the street it sits on — not force you to redesign the sidewalk around it.

Cosmo delivers the full T2 platform in a slimmer cabinet, with a card-first payment model that reduces cash handling and a solar design that deploys without electrical work.

A Smaller Curbside Footprint

A slim, pedestrian-friendly cabinet that preserves sidewalk width and pedestrian flow in dense streetscapes.

Card-First, Coins Optional

Run cards and mobile wallets only, or configure coin acceptance for operations that still need it.

Protect Every Transaction

PCI-P2PE validated encryption protects card data. 12-gauge steel and separate maintenance and collections compartments protect the cash.

Built for Long-Term Reliability

Durable construction and modular components help minimize downtime and simplify maintenance.

Payment Options Built Around a Cashless Curb

Most parkers now reach for a card or a phone. Cosmo is built for that shift — credit and debit cards, contactless, and mobile wallets including Apple Pay and Google Pay — with coin acceptance available for operations that aren’t ready to go fully cashless.

It supports Pay-by-License Plate, Pay-by-Space, and Pay-and-Display, and works alongside T2 MobilePay and third-party mobile payment providers, so pay station and mobile transactions stay connected across your operation.

Choosing your configuration:

  • Luke® Cosmo accepts coins alongside cards in a dual-door cabinet.
  • Luke® CosmoS is card-only in a simplified single-door cabinet.
  • If you need bill acceptance, Luke® II is the better fit.

Pay stations and mobile payments work better together than either does alone — a hybrid model that meets parkers where they are without giving up curbside presence.

Manage a Whole District from One Dashboard

Slim stations tend to go in where you need a lot of them — a downtown grid, a campus perimeter, a string of blocks. Managing that many devices on foot doesn’t scale.

Monitor and Manage Remotely to Reduce Field Calls

  • Monitor station health across blocks, zones, and locations
  • Receive equipment, maintenance, and collection alerts
  • Track collection thresholds and payment activity
  • Software Updates
  • View reporting and operational performance across locations
  • Update rates, schedules, and operating parameters

Built for Reliable Performance

Fewer components mean fewer things to service. Cosmo has no bill validator at all, and in card-only configurations there’s no coin hopper to empty either.

Feature Operational Benefits
Fewer Cash-Handling Components No bill acceptance, coins optional — fewer cash-handling components to jam, service, and collect. For bill acceptance, check out the T2 Luke® II
Durable Construction 12-gauge cold-rolled steel with thermal spray coating (TSC) for anti-corrosion protection in demanding outdoor environments.
Modular Components Simplify field maintenance with quick component replacement.
Remote Software Updates Keep systems current while reducing onsite technician visits.
Integrated Solar Power Solar or AC Power
Ethernet or 4G LTE Deploys where you need it, whether on a hardwired downtown street or a remote surface lot at a beach or park.

Enterprise Security Built In

Security on a curbside terminal means two things: card data no one can read, and cash no one can reach.

Built on a modern Linux platform, T2 Pay Stations support PCI-SSF certification, while T2 SecurePay™ protects EMV transactions with a validated PCI-P2PE solution. Over-the-air card reader updates simplify maintaining compliance as standards evolve.

Security Highlights

Safeguard What It Protects
Encryption Card data — PCI-P2PE validated encryption and PCI-SSF software keep it unreadable on the pay station and on your network.
Hardened Cabinet Coins — 12-gauge steel with separate maintenance and collections compartments, so servicing a unit never means opening the vault.
Controlled Access The cabinet — electronic locks are available as an option for more protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose Cosmo or Luke II?
Choose Cosmo if you need a smaller footprint. Choose Luke II if you need bill acceptance. Both run the same platform, display, keypad, security, and support, and both accept coins, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and credit or debit cards (EMV and mag stripe support).
Does Luke Cosmo accept coins?
Yes. Cosmo accepts coins alongside cards in its standard dual-door configuration, with capacity for approximately 2,000 coins. Luke CosmoS is a card-only version in a single-door cabinet for operations that no longer want to handle cash.
Does Luke Cosmo support cashless payments?
Yes. Cosmo supports magnetic stripe and EMV credit and debit cards, contactless payments, and mobile wallets including Google Pay and Apple Pay. Cosmo can also work alongside T2 MobilePay and other third-party mobile payment solutions.
How much sidewalk space does Cosmo need?

Cosmo’s cabinet is shallower than a full-size pay station, so it fits where clearance is tight. For exact dimensions, download the Luke Cosmo spec sheet

Can Luke Cosmo be managed remotely?
Yes. Operators can remotely monitor station health, alerts, collection activity, and reporting through T2 Iris™. Rates, schedules, and operating parameters are configured remotely through the Online Configuration Application (OCA).
Do we need to install software on-site?
No. T2’s cloud-based tools let operators monitor their operation and configure supported pay stations without installing software on a dedicated local workstation.
Does Cosmo integrate with other parking solutions?
Yes. Cosmo integrates with other T2 solutions like T2 Iris™, T2 Flex®, and UPsafety®, as well as both top and niche third-party parking technologies.
