Creating Lasting Change at T2 Connect and Beyond

T2 Charitable Giving

Making a Positive Impact Where We Live, Work, and Gather

Over the years, it’s become a tradition for us to organize drives for charitable causes as part of our T2 Connect conference. We believe that giving back to the communities where we live and work is not just the right thing to do, but it’s the essence of who we are as an organization.

“At T2, we each champion and embody our core values that center around empowering and bettering communities. In this spirit, it’s our responsibility and privilege to leave behind a positive impact in the communities that host our [T2] Connect conferences,” said Maggie Vercoe, Sr. Vice President, Customer Experience.

“We give back by holding fun and engaging charity events and fundraisers at Connect every year that receive a great amount of customer participation and praise. It’s still heartwarming to see what we already know – that we are a truly caring and altruistic bunch in our industry.”

In November at this year’s T2 Connect, we’re planning a fun, action-packed scavenger hunt across conference grounds. Attendees will go on a mission to find books and backpacks that will be donated to local Orlando literacy programs. We’ll also be holding a fundraiser for Eight Waves, who invests in the lives of children, youth and families who live in under-resourced communities in Central Florida.

Our commitment to making a positive impact in communities extends far beyond our time at T2 Connect. We actively engage in charitable initiatives throughout the year by participating in company sponsored activities, organized volunteer days, and office fundraisers. We leverage our employee network to identify and select opportunities for us to give back, often in 3 focus areas:

Children & Youth

  • Indiana Sports Corp – Corporate Challenge – In Spring 2023, T2’ers competed in team and individual sports against other corporate teams to raise money for Indiana Sports Corp, an organization that creates positive impact by hosting world-class sporting events that drive economic vitality, facilitates a vibrant community with civic pride, garners national and international media attention, and creates opportunities for Indianapolis youth.
  • Jude Children’s Research Hospital – Together with customer attendees, nearly $3,000 was raised and donated to St. Jude at our 2022 T2 Connect conference. Our donation will help pay for research and the medical treatment of children with cancer and other life-threatening conditions.
  • Variety the Children’s Charity – Also at T2 Connect 2022, we organized and hosted a Give Back Session where 45 teams of customers assembled remote-control cars and customized capes for disadvantaged children in the Greater Palm Springs area. T2 collaborated with Impact 4 Good, a company that runs socially conscious team-building programs, to plan a fun competitive event that would make the most impact to benefit children in the local area.
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation (2022) & Riley Hospital for Children Cheer Guild (2021) – The T2 Indianapolis office held a donate-to-vote contest in consecutive years to determine which senior leader would receive a pie in the face. We raised funds exceeding our goals to help children with terminal conditions or advanced medical needs and were able to grant the wish of an ill, 6-year-old local child named Lincoln.
  • Indy BackPack Attack – In 2021, we placed bins throughout the office and collected school supplies for Indy BackPack Attack, a local nonprofit that provides supplies to children in Indianapolis Public Schools and Central Indiana. Remote staff also participated by purchasing supplies online and shipping them to the corporate office.

Community

  • This month, we’ll be packing meals at the upcoming 13th Annual Million Meal Marathon to feed those in need and unite to fight hunger in the local community.
  • Guru Nanak’s Free Kitchen –Several T2’ers have volunteered together for years at GNFK by preparing food to serve hungry and vulnerable populations in Downtown East Side Vancouver. This year, T2 was a silver sponsor of their Bike-a-thon and Walk-a-thon. GNFK has provided over one million free meals and distributes annually hundreds of care packages, thousands of toys, and free school supplies to shelters.
  • Supporting the Wheeler Mission – For a company-wide Volunteer Day in 2022, T2’ers could opt for a paid day sorting clothing and home goods donations for individuals and families in need. Wheeler is a social services organization that provides critically needed goods and services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty in Central and South Central Indiana. T2 staff are provided up to 16 hours per year for paid volunteer time off.
  • Indy Handlebar Hot Lap for Downtown Indy. In 2022, T2 competed in Indy Handlebar Hot Lap, a team bike race to raise funds for Indy 500-themed car race décor and beautification in downtown Indianapolis for the month of May. Downtown Indy supports the economic vitality of downtown Indianapolis through fundraising with fun events to engage the local community and support tourism.

Disaster Relief

  • Hurricane Ida Relief for American Red Cross. In 2021, T2 raised over $2,000 for emergency hurricane relief at our Connect conference.

The list goes on, and we look forward to many more service projects and fundraising drives this year that support our communities, and our parent company’s internal purpose-driven agenda for charitable giving.
