T2 has some of the brightest minds in the parking industry, and each employee brings a unique set of talents and experiences to the table. We thought you might like to learn more about these talented individuals. In our Employee Spotlight series, you’ll get to know one employee each month. This month we talked to Tristen Moe, Renewals Coordinator.
Where did you grow up?
This is a tough question. I was fortunate to call several places home while growing up, due in large part to my father being in the military and then later signing on with United Airlines. The majority of my family is from Wisconsin, where I was also born, however my elementary years were spent between Wisconsin, California, and Indiana.
How did you end up in the parking industry?
Like many others, the parking industry is something I just “fell into”. I was fortunate to land a position as a Support Coordinator with T2 while in college. I quickly paid up any outstanding parking tickets (sorry IUPUI!) and spent the next two years learning a TON about the parking industry. In 2011, I left T2 in order to pursue an overseas teaching opportunity but I just couldn’t stay away. I returned to T2 in 2017 and am now affectionately known as a “T2 retread”.
How did you end up working in Sales Operations?
My role as Renewal Coordinator was a brand new position to T2 at the end of 2017. As is often the case with brand new roles, it took some time to figure out where my role would best “fit”. In 2019, my position transitioned to the Sales Operations team, which ended up being perfect for my role. Since moving to Sales Operations, the subscription renewal process improved dramatically.
What do you do as Renewals Coordinator for T2?
As Renewal Coordinator, I work closely with the Sales and Finance teams to track and renew Flex service subscriptions. As services come up for expiration, I work to align those services to a preferred, common term before sending out a quote for approval. Once the quote is reviewed and approved, I move the quote information over to Accounting for them to prepare and send an invoice. Often times, contract agreements are in need of renewal during or around the same time as the subscription services. When this occurs, I work with the Account Managers and assist them in any necessary changes with the subscription services in order to finalize the contract renewal.
What do you enjoy about working at T2?
For me, it’s all about the people; customers and co-workers alike. Work stops being a job when you enjoy what you do and who you do it with.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I used sing in a now defunct, classic rock cover band called Small Word for Large.
