This month we talked to Haroon Yaqubi, a Project Manager for T2.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia.
What drew you to working in project management?
Being accountable for a project from inception through to implementation is exciting. My background was in technical support, and when the opportunity came along to develop my skill set further it seemed like a natural progression.
How did you end up in the parking industry?
My previous employment was implementing merchant services. I was looking for a change and was fortunate enough to come across an agency who was willing to take a chance on me. The rest is history…
What do you do as a Project Manager for T2?
I manage pay station post sale projects. My duty is to implement the project from start to finish and to ensure that all deliverables are met on time and on budget to the customer’s satisfaction.
What’s something that you think people don’t know about parking that you find interesting?
The amount of work and resources required, from development to implementation, for a successful parking lot.
What do you enjoy about working at T2?
The culture, the people (internal and external), and the amazing work environment.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I have a 2-year-old son named Noah with a personality as wild as his curly hair.
