T2 Systems, the largest parking technology provider in North America, today announced its T2 SecurePay solution has been accepted under the Point-to-Point-Encryption (P2PE) standards by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council.
P2PE is a security standard for payment card data that encrypts data directly from the point a card is swiped or inserted at a payment terminal to the point that the relevant banking service receives those details, with no other systems in between—making it a much more secure process.
T2 SecurePay uses this P2PE technology with its EMV reader and software to ensure no cardholder data is exposed during the payment transaction.
