Did you know, on average, T2 attracts approximately 400 customers to its Connect conference annually? From this group, about 35% are first-time attendees. For many of these individuals, it can be nerve-wracking to come to a conference where they may not know anyone or know how the conference works.

For 2019 we're taking a new approach to our First-Time Attendee Program. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment for new attendees to learn and network with fellow T2 customers and staff. To achieve this, we would like to pair each first-timer with a Mentor to make their first Connect experience a positive one.

Participants in the First-Time Attendee Program will have the opportunity to connect with their mentor before, during, and after Connect. Your mentor will reach out to you via email leading up to the conference to introduce themselves and answer any questions you may have.

You’ll have the chance to meet your mentor face-to-face at the First-Time Attendee Session on Monday, November 18 at 6 PM, and they will be available throughout the conference to answer any questions that may come up, as well as to introduce you to T2 staff and fellow customers, helping you build your network. Lastly, your mentor will follow up with you after the conference via email to continue to build your relationship, get your feedback on the new program, and seek input on ideas you have to improve the program for next year.

In the meantime, you can get a jump start on your preparations by joining the “Connect First Time Attendees” group on T2 Community, where you can ask questions leading up to Connect and meet other first-time attendees. We will also be posting a first-time attendee FAQ document in the near future to help answer some of your questions.

This First-Time Attendee Program is a great opportunity to learn from experienced parking professionals and long-time T2 customers, as well as build your own network among the T2 Community. If you are interested in participating, please email Dawn Francescon by Wednesday, October 30 and we will add you to the program list. Shortly thereafter we will begin the Mentor/Mentee pairings, after which Mentors will reach out to their mentee(s).
