T2 POWERHOUSE USER GROUP 2007
T2 POWERHOUSE USER GROUP 2007 – Recap!
The T2 PowerHouse User Group conference is the annual gathering of T2’s customers and this year more than 360 parking professionals representing cities/municipalities and college campuses of all sizes participated in the “Texas T2 Parkin’ Roundup”.
T2’s goal was to “round up” as many of you as possible for three days of:
- in-depth training on T2’s parking solutions
- networking with peers and sharing ideas about parking and parking management
- fun through group activities, roundtables and the customer party
Based on their roles and responsibilities, participants had their choice of technical training sessions. The sessions were part of a variety of specialized “tracks” such as new user and advanced user sessions (for both T2 Flex and PowerPark), “See It Live” demonstrations, and more technical sessions for the IT audience. Of course the Leadership Forum offered management-focused sessions which covered a variety of topics related to managing and operating an efficient parking operation. This year was the first year for the “Migrating to T2 Flex” track which was very popular.
Based on attendee feedback from last year, this year’s conference was designed to allow more time for networking. Roundtable discussions, which took place on Wednesday and Thursday, focused on specific parking-relevant topics, and all attendees participated in special small group and networking activities during the Tuesday opening session and the Thursday closing session.
Always Time for Fun!
Wednesday evening’s customer event offered attendees the opportunity to experience some Texas-themed fun by riding a bull and roping a steer, or playing their hand at Black Jack or Texas Hold-em.
This year’s philanthropic activity took place during the Wednesday evening party. All those who had a “successful” ride on the bull or those who were able to rope their steer received a ticket valued at $10. At the end of the night, we raised over $1400 (plus an additional $400 in cash donations) for the Guardians of the Children. This charity is a motorcycle-rider club dedicated to protecting and supporting abused children. It was great to have members of the San Antonio group join us for the party and accept the donation!
